Workplace Lactation Laws
Employers are federally required to provide all breastfeeding employees with reasonable break time and a private lactation space (other than a bathroom) to pump at work for one year. Additionally, the lactation pod should be placed within a reasonable distance to a refrigerator and sink. Most states and counties follow these federal regulations provided by FLSA and PUMP Act, and do not provide additional requirements, but some may require additional breastfeeding support.
